Desired Candidate's Job Profile (Job Requirements)
Responsible for all underwriting and quotation preparation for group medical policies and for training and guiding underwriting team

-Receive information for group medical enquiry from brokers, business development executive or branches

-Check all required documentation for completeness and accuracy; follow up with client if any documentation is incomplete

-Ensure each potential policy member has handed in a complete Health Declaration form

-Analyze client specific risks and load in to premium

-Adjust quotation, if required, to reflect client requested changes or queries

-Ensure all approved quotations are entered in to QMS by team and proper policy documentation has been issued

-Receive and check potential renewals and renewal report from team

-Analyze loss ratio, claim details and any other relevant data

-Underwrite the policy to reflect increased risk or changes requested by client

-Ensure new quotation is confirmed by client and follow up with team to issue renewal

-Coordinate, if required, with reinsurers to share risk of policy

-Provide backup and support to team with any queries, concerns or knowledge gaps

-Provide exemplary customer service to any escalated or urgent cases from brokers, business development executives or direct clients

-Work with Underwriting Manager to provide feedback to team, help with performance management and identify any training needs

-Any additional tasks assigned by manager
