Last year he stepped down from his day-to-day activities and decided to run all the businesses though professionals.During the last decade, he also had 2 major business failures but the learning acquired through these failures helped him a lot in the current running businesses,He is a strong believer of “Givers Gain” philosophy of BNI and has been active member of BNI for last 10 years. His passion of connecting people and sharing knowledge, pushed him to join BNI regional director team and the training team at BNI ME and has been actively working as “Regional Director Consultant” for over 4 years now. His burning desire to have over 1000 families who make their living through the resources he has created,Something no one knows about him is that he started speaking English at the age of 23 and his biggest fear till 2004 was public speaking
Today, E-Movers has a strength of 400 plus people, a fleet of over 70 trucks and over 50,000 sqft. storage facility making us one of the largest relocation companies in the UAE. Today, E-Movers has a strength of 400 plus people which is 80% blue collar and 20% office staff, a fleet of over 70 trucks and over 50,000 sqft. storage facility making us one of the largest relocation companies in the UAE.
We have 3 Companies under one umbrella which consist of 450 closing to 500 employees, so once a year we organize a social event called ‘emovers group annual gala event’ where not only our employees showcase their talent but also their kids perform. It builds up a social bonding and families have confidence as to where their family member is working. This event has been happening since the past 10 years and among the 60% people participate and entertain each other.

Originally 10 years ago the idea was planned to relax the laborers after the amount of hard work they put together and they loved it, it helped them build relations and bonding with each other where sharing talents and having confidence was observed. The challenges we observed are:
1. The employees need time to practice to do their best and as being a busy daily they don’t get free time but they managed So they practiced after office hours that would be around 10:00 pm or 11:00 pm
2. second challenge was the venue to accommodate 400 people under one roof and to look into the cost control,We have to close down the company for an entire day as the event starts at lunch and ends at dinner so our logistics team have to take tell our customers 2 months in advance that we won’t be available on that particular day so it’s a challenge to convince them too.
Achievements and Future Goal
My Goal is to work on the other two group companies so they also reach a big family of 1000 people.My goal is to have 1000 families make their living to the resources throughout the year. Geographical expansion as we are established in Dubai so our next agenda is GCC.
Words of Advice
From the HR side I have never heard of smaller organizations having Social gathering, sports day where families are involved, I think they miss out on that and they should start having socials like celebrate birthdays, have outings, gala nights etc such events increase the bonding,trust and relationships among the team members and hence in turn improves overall performance.
