Assistant Banquets Manager
As an Assistant Banquets Manager you are responsible to assist in the effective operation of the Banquet department through the adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. To assist the Banquets Manager in achieving the set budgets for the Food & Beverage department. Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Banquet Operations department
  • To maintain the Standard Operating Procedures set by Swissôtel Hotels&Resorts
  • To train all team members to ensure competency of all skills
  • To review job descriptions of banquet roles on a regular basis
  • Review performance of all team members bi annually
  • Ensure that each function is sufficiently staffed according to budgeted guidelines
  • Ensure that each function is set up according to the Banquet Event Order
  • Deliver catering to the standards outlined on the Banquet Event Order
  • Ensure the security of each function is maintained
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Banquet Operations
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
