Scope Of Work:
To assist the Front Office Management in the effective running of the department and to carry out the role of the hotels Duty Manager on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities:
1. To lead and direct the Night Team under the guidance of the Assistant Front Office Manager/Front Office Manager in the execution of their duties to maximize the operational efficiency of the department.
2. To ensure together with the Assistant Front Office Manager/Front Office Manager that the highest level of service is provided to all guests to maximize guest satisfaction.
3. To ensure that all colleagues are fully aware of relevant information concerning the hotel as well as all promotions within the company.
4. To be fully conversant with all UAE legislation that relates to hotel operation and has a direct impact on guest service.
5. To ensure that returning guests are welcomed back to the hotel and guest preferences and special requests are communicated to all concerned departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
6. Is aware of all expected VIP arrivals and departures and those already in-house and is familiar with the names, affiliation and room numbers as an indication of personal courtesy and recognition. Meet VIP guests upon arrival and escorts them to the rooms as required.
7. To assist guests providing information, guidance and to effectively find solutions to guests? queries and complaints.
8. To conduct regular inspections of the hotel, ensuring the safety and security of all guests and colleagues. To report and non compliances or unusual/suspicious activities to the concerned department.
9. To record all incidents or complaints in the Duty Manager Log Book for management reference.
10. Assist the Asset Protection Department to investigate all incidents of thefts that may occur within the hotel premises.
11. To be fully conversant with the hotel IT systems and interfaces and to be able to fix any problems, with assistance of IT.
12. Demonstrates the 12-Service Excellence Basics and proactively encourages all Front Office Night Team colleagues to continually follow the same.
13. Keeps updated with all new trends in hotel services as well as relevant local and international laws and new products in the market.

HR Responsibilities:
14. Provides feedback on performance for the purpose of performance evaluations for Front Office Night Team colleagues? probation periods, annual performance reviews, promotion or transfer consideration and salary reviews.
15. Conduct departmental training as required and maintain training records.
16. Coach and counsel Front Office Night Team colleagues, providing timely feedback on performance to ensure all are working to provide the highest levels of service to guests.
17. Attends all hotel trainings as required.
18. Adheres to all HR and hotel policies and procedures.
19. Continually strives to improve self; knowledge and skills.

Financial Responsibilities:
20. To ensure that all the Night Audit tasks are completed by the Night Auditors and to ensure that the Night Run is successful.
21. Actively participate in all energy saving and recycling initiatives.

General Responsibilities:
22. Attends departmental meetings and daily briefings as required.
23. Ensures that the appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform and appearance are maintained for all colleagues within the Front Office Night Team.
24. Strictly adheres to the hotels Policy on Confidentiality and Ethics.
25. To ensure self and Front Office Night Team actively participate in all EHSMS requirements.
26. To carry out any additional tasks and projects as requested by the Assistant Front Office/Front Office Manager. Job Requirements Competencies & Skills
