Desired Candidate's Job Profile (Job Requirements)
Minimum 8 yrs of experience in construction industry (not in trading). Key responsibility: .
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis.
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience - Minimum 10+ yrs of progressive procurement experience in a UAE.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead, influence and motivate.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • Capable to Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities between division business units and their suppliers.
  • Should have a good resources / supplier base for various construction goods/materials.
  • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.
  • Working experience of vendor management software (FOCUS or any other).
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures.
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
  • Graduate in commerce /Diploma in engineering /Certification in supply chain management / Material Managementetc.
