Scope Of Work:
To supervise and lead a small team of Room Attendants; to ensure cleanliness in all assigned areas, to report rooms ready for occupancy after cleaning, and to manage the supply and its distribution.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensures the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures by participating in the actual cleaning and maintenance processes of the allocated area.
2. Helps the Housekeeping Supervisor to open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.
3. Assists with the preparation of efficient departmental work schedules.
4. Ensures that Room Attendants complete all of their assigned daily room cleaning as per Housekeeping standards.
5. Ensures that Room Attendants complete their daily reports accurately and on time.
6. Performs Room inspections to audit standards.
7. Co-ordinates special projects (e.g. deep cleaning, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories).
8. Demonstrates the 12-Service Excellence Basics and ensures that all Room Attendants follow the same.
9. Keeps updated with new products in the market.

HR Responsibilities:
10. Provides feedback on performance to the Housekeeping Supervisors for the purpose of performance evaluations, probation periods, annual performance reviews, promotion or transfer consideration and salary reviews.
11. Personally conducts training for all Housekeeping colleagues as required.
12. Attends all hotel trainings as required.
13. Adheres to all HR and hotel policies and procedures.
14. Continually strives to improve self; knowledge and skills.

Financial Responsibilities:
15. Manages storage areas under allocated jurisdiction.
16. Maintains adequate stock levels and complete stock as required.
17. Gains understanding of the departmental goals and financial targets.
18. Actively participates in energy saving and recycling initiatives and ensures all Room Attendants follow the same.

General Responsibilities:
19. Attends all departmental meetings and daily briefings as required.
20. Ensures that the appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform and appearance are maintained by all Room Attendants at all times.
21. Strictly adheres to the hotels Policy on Confidentiality and Ethics.
22. Actively participates in all EHSMS requirements and ensures all Room Attendants follow the same.
23. To carry out any additional tasks and projects as requested by the Executive Housekeeper. Job Requirements Competencies & Skills
